Neeraj Chopra Biography: Neeraj Chopra is a competitive javelin thrower in track and field athlete. Neeraj has created history by winning the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 by throwing 87.58m javelin.  Read: Neeraj Chopra Biography in Hindi

He is the second Indian after Anju Bobby George to win a gold medal in athletics at a World Championship level.

Neeraj Chopra was born on 24 December 1997 in a Kisan Road community in a small village Khandra in the town of Panipat in the state of Haryana. Chopra‘s father’s name is Satish Kumar. who is a small farmer. And his mother’s name is Saroj Devi. who is a housewife.

Education

Neeraj Chopra did his early studies from Haryana. After completing his early studies, Neeraj took admission in BBA College. And from there he obtained his graduation degree.

Chopra‘s coach’s name is Uwe, who has been a professional javelin athlete from Germany. Neeraj is performing so well only after taking training from him.

He started his career in Javelin Throw. He started practicing javelin throwing when he was just 11 years old. Neeraj bought his first javelin in 2014. Which cost ₹7000, in which he set a new record in Javelin Throw, which strengthened his career.

In 2013, he got the second position in the Youth Championship organized by Neeraj Chopra, showing his talent brilliantly. He won the gold medal in the Junior World Championships held in 2016.

In 2015, Neeraj made a record in the Inter State Championship by throwing 81m javelin.
In the first leg of the South Asian Games, Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal with a throw of 82.23 meters.
Under Sixteen Junior Championship which was held in Lucknow. In that Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal by throwing a throw of 68 meters.

Neeraj Chopra had illuminated the name of India by winning the gold medal in the championship held in Jakarta.
Neeraj Chopra has won the gold medal in the javelin throw of the Tokyo Olympics 2020. This has happened after 121 years.
